Hello Dave... we were chatting on Sunday about the special water features of P3D. At that time I only know about the submersible and the ability to see the floats from under water. I have a few screens here to show what happens when you turn on bathymetry in P3D, with the final shots showing surprises I found.
First the submersible in the virtual underwater world...
Now the above and below pics of the floats on float planes...
Now for the first surprise... the wake effect is underwater as well - looks like bubbles...
In shallow water I was hearing the floats scrape the bottom from time to time... and sometimes the scraping happened in strong waves....
That is right, with bathymetry on ultra mode the waves are actual and quote impressive. The stronger the wind the greater the wave actions..
The dynamic lighting and light/shadow features of P3D have always impressed me, and now bathymetry joins the ranks of impressive.
