dont know whats happened but last night loaded up the flight sim and it went straight into installation manager saying i mandatory update and commenced to download over 124 gig of updates
which looked suspiciously like the previous updates
then this afternoon its gone and done the same and im now virtually out of memory space
will need to get the lad to come around when he has the time and look at whats gone wrong and what he can do
worst case scenario will be a complete wipe then new install
im one very unhappy bunny at this moment in time

well after my comp doing its own thing for two days
i may or may not have world update 15 greenland installed
when the sim opens up it shows the wu15 page but if i check all the updates its not there
i give up
at least the bloody things letting me fly

Paul after it does the mandatory files update , you have to go to the marketplace then world then select to install the greenland norway denmark free update theres 3 of them i believe

Hi Paul. WU XV is in the marketplace, and it is free - just waiting to be installed (New Releases). There was update V for the Nordics only. some time ago. I guess this updates Nordics again and adds Greenland. Looks like a great time to explaore that part of the world.

seems like its updating in a different mode each time
remember the right carbunkle of the previous upgrade
got it all now
but it looks as if if had got itself into a loop and had been trying to install everything again
after yet another unwanted download which left me with no memory junior came to the rescue i
it had been downloading to my C drive and not my D.
dont ask dont go there but looks like im airborne again

well the lad did
im still baffled how it was says mandatory update each time i loaded it
well its just loaded twice and no problems so should be in Pakistan with yu lot Sunday

Mandatory updates take place right after the sim starts.... (These are core file updates)2. Then go to Marketplace and download/install any World Updates that you haven't done yet.. (free).. (cause you have already paid for them.. one way or another!)3. Then go to content manager in the sim and download any not-yet-installed updates... whew.. then you should get them all.. Norm |
