It ws an interesting flight in the hills (Appalachians included) of Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. We flew over quite a few bodies of water and I was able to spot and take a couple of pictures of dams creating these reservoirs. Flying this flight were Allan, Dave, Mike and Steve. I was in a Cessna 337H Skymster II. I noticed that the bodies of water were not typical lakes or rivers but they must have been reservoirs. Time for a break at KRHP. Allan had just switched into a DC3/C47 and we were waitingn for Mike to arrive. There is Mike getting ready to join Allan and me. In his DC3/C47 Back in the air again and spotted a dam just south of KRHP (approx 3PM low). This is Chatuge dam built in 1942 at Haynesville North Carolina (in Town County Georgia and Clay County North Carolina) This reservoir on the Hiwassee River has 130 miles of shoreline (more than half the mileage of this flight). You might recognize the name Clemson University. This university and "diversionn dams" are in Clemson, South Carolina. You can see the unuversity (right side of picture) and it's pumping station (below and behind the aircraft), and on the other side of the aircraft is "The Dike" (beyond the nose of the Cessna) At KSPA Spartanburg Downtowon Muni, our destination airport, ready to sign off. Great flight plan Dave
