I updated at 1900 utc (1200 noon eastern -5) Only took a mere 3 HOURS and 20MINS to Download 8 gb.... This was Microsoft servers... the king of software?? and all things PC? and 3'15" to get the update downloaded? (The must have used 50 yr old servers to deliver the goods!.
Oh.. and I only had to restart the update 4 TIMES.!
Well after all of the frustration getting it in (at peak time). Finally got it and loaded up only to find another 1gb download to get an updated DC3.. which only took an HOUR!!
An HOUR for 1gb? Yep... nice deploy speeds!!! Oh Boy.. It was not much faster than the old dial-up and 1200 baud modem we used 40 years ago!. Geeze.. (I kept at it as I had an international flight on vatsim but ended up being two hours late!! Thanks Microsoft on your deployment plan! (And 5 million others thank-you too for your speedy delivery! (Of course SU14 was a mandatory update so couldn't delay it or reschedule it to non peak time like 2:30am when all the flying chaps are sleeping in their cozy beds.!
(Rant over!)
Anyways, now that the update is in and settled.. sim is fine! And how is your day?!
