We had a good group of pilots for this tour. Allan, Dave, Mike, Paul, and Steve. It is always interesting to see how the land is used in our many locations of flight. The most unusaul terrain in the first 1/2 of our trip was the infrastucture of canals/irrigation ditches. Someone in our group commented this was probably to irrigate the growing of rice. My screenshots are from the first half of our flight, in a Daher Kodiak. Soon after our departure from WMKI Sultan Azian Shah airport. Notice the many irrigation canals. Often the roads and housing, and bridges across the canals, were important features of this region. On approach to WMKA Sultan Abdul Halim, our full stop airport (break time). Notice the MFD panel - even around the airport and civilisation that the canals were a major part of life. Thanks for the flight Dave.
